Energizer is the drummer and riddim machine of the Reggae Bugs crew.
A powerful Jamaican rhino beetle with drumsticks almost always within reach, he does not merely follow the rhythm. He builds it, protects it, and drives it forward until everybody else finds their place.
Energizer is strongest when the pressure rises.
A broken plan, a difficult crowd, a long rehearsal, or a challenge that makes other bugs hesitate usually causes him to focus even harder.
Once he commits, he does not stop halfway.

Energizer’s strength is obvious, but his real power comes from control.
He knows that hitting harder is not always the answer. The right force, placed at the right moment, can move an entire song.
His heavy shell, grounded stance, and powerful build make him a natural protector, while his drummer’s reflexes keep him quick, precise, and ready.
His Role in the Crew
Energizer provides the pulse beneath the Reggae Bugs sound.
He locks with Hippie’s bass, supports Yanky and T-Bone’s vocals, gives C. Rus Ting’s horn a place to land, and creates the foundation Ricaurte and Dingy can build around.
When the crew becomes distracted, Energizer brings them back to the count.
When the music becomes crowded, he simplifies it.
When the energy drops, he lifts it without begging for attention.
His leadership happens from behind the kit, where he can see everybody and hear when one part of the team has stopped listening to the others.
Personality
Energizer is powerful, disciplined, protective, direct, and relentlessly dependable.
He respects effort more than talk.
He does not care who receives the loudest applause if the band played well and the community felt the music.
His flaw is that he can push too hard.
Because he is built to endure, Energizer sometimes forgets that other bugs may need a pause, a different pace, or another way to solve the problem. He may treat every rehearsal like a mission and every delay like something that can be defeated by more effort.
Part of his growth is learning that a strong foundation must also be flexible.

Energizer hears rhythm everywhere.
A dripping pipe becomes a time signature.
A loose wheel becomes a percussion problem.
A nervous bug tapping one foot becomes an uninvited rehearsal.
He is constantly counting, tapping, correcting, or turning ordinary sounds into a beat. The crew may be trying to have a serious conversation while Energizer quietly fixes the rhythm of somebody’s knocking.
He rarely notices that he is doing it.
