RBN — Roving Bugs Network

RBN, Roving Bugs Network. Reliable Bugs, Reliable News.

The RBN News Team

In the Reggae Bugs world, the news does not wait for the music to stop. Ships come into harbor, new voices rise, communities change, and stories travel from one end of the island to the other. Wherever something important is happening, someone at RBN is asking questions.

ABOUT RBN

Meet the RBN News Team

Welcome to RBN, the Roving Bugs Network: an independent newsroom with its own history, personalities, reporters, and unmistakable on-air energy. RBN was telling the world’s stories before the Reggae Bugs became names worth putting in a headline. Now, as the Bugs make waves through music, adventure, and community life, the network follows their growing story alongside everything else happening around them.

Jameson Coofer brings gravitas to the big stories. Richie Venture can make a developing headline crackle with excitement. Christiana Amantour journeys beyond familiar borders for the global picture, while Margot Brennell asks the precise questions that turn complicated politics into something viewers can understand. David Murmur holds down the flagship evening desk; Dana Farino brings a polished, institution-minded political perspective; and Shane Verity supplies the sharp edge of spirited commentary. Brett Borer keeps his attention on the machinery of public life, while Abby Trillip brings quick thinking and a fresh generation’s curiosity to political conversations and panels.

But RBN’s reach begins long before anyone switches on a studio camera. Pigeons carry news and travelers’ chatter across the landscape. Hidden among their feathers, bird-lice observers gather the little details that the wider world might miss, with Louse serving as a visible voice for the field-reporting network. From whispered tips to polished broadcasts, every perspective has its place, and a good question can travel a very long way.

The team does not have to agree about every issue to share one purpose: helping the public hear the story, understand the stakes, and make up their own minds. Sometimes the newsroom is serious. Sometimes it is gloriously dramatic. Either way, RBN is always on the move. Reliable Bugs, Reliable News.

The Field Reporting Network

Louse · Traveling Field Reporter & Pigeon · Reporting Partner

Long before a headline reaches the desk, RBN’s information is already moving. Pigeons travel across the wider world, carrying chatter, observations, and sometimes the most unexpected leads. Bird lice tucked among their feathers become tiny eyes and ears on the journey, noticing details others pass by.

Louse is the named, visible field reporter who represents that bird-lice reporting network. When he rides in a harness mounted on a pigeon, the partnership makes the extraordinary look like an ordinary day on the job: a small correspondent traveling with a much larger carrier while fellow lice whisper information from the feathers around him.

Together, this reporting system gives the polished RBN anchors a believable connection to events beyond the studio. The pigeons carry the movement; the lice bring the details; Louse helps the news find its way home.
